This salsa owes its hot and unique taste to the chipotle chilli. Basically, this chilli is a jalapeño, yet dried and cured becomes a chipotle. Other ingredients are tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, onions, vegetable oil and salt; as a round-off, the salsa is gently pasteurised to prolong its storage life. Salsa Chipotle María Dolores is delicious as a dip straight from the jar. Heat it briefly, and you get a tasty accompaniment to your meat, fish, or vegetable dishes.
