Freshest tomatillos provide the base for this salsa. Tomatillos are often called «green tomatoes» due to their colour which they keep even when ripe. By virtue of their unique taste, tomatillos are frequently used when preparing Mexican salsas. Other ingredients of Salsa Verde María Dolores are onions, green chilli, cilantro, garlic, vegetable oil and salt; as a round-off, the salsa is gently pasteurised. A hot and delicious dip straight from the jar, briefly heated, this salsa provides a tasty accompaniment to chicken and fish dishes.
